Kai & Sunny win D&AD award
We’re feeling a little bit smug and very proud at CIA today thanks to dynamic duo Kai & Sunny. These multidisciplined designer/artists have been awarded a D&AD award for their fantastic front cover of Little White Lies Magazine.
The black on white/ white on black design was created for Issue 38 which celebrated the release of Mike Cahill’s existential sci-fi drama Another Earth.
In the film newcomer Brit Marling faces the prospect of meeting her intergallactic twin upon discovery of a duplicate Earth. Kai & Sunny’s creative use of a limited colour palette resulted in an arresting image that refuses to remain on the page, it’s not suprising their fluttering silouette caught the eye of the judges.
